2018 World Cup Bids Latest

Friday, December 10th, 2010

If you’re hoping 2018 will bring a summer of international Football to your backyard, you may be better off moving, if rumours circulating in Zurich, headquarters of Fifa, are to believed.

It may just be Portugal mortgages for the Football starved, if correspondence between Spanish representative Angel Villar Llona and Quatar rep Mohamaed Bin Hammam is genuine and to be believed. Saying ‘vamos a ganar’, the note is being interpreted as an admission of collusion between the two nations, who have already been accused of trying to manipulate votes to bring the 2018 World Cup to Spain and Portugal and the following 2022 World Cup to Qatar. However, all promise of sanctions against the countries for their collusion has been dropped by Fifa.

England’s bid is now viewed as being a distant outsider, with the Portuguese / Spanish bid and a Russian bid gaining rapid popularity. The English bid has suffered in the wake of newspaper investigations into Fifa conduct. Reporters posed as a party interested in bring the World Cup to the United States, and managed to catch the Nigerian and Tahitian members pledging votes in return for bribes.

David Cameron has pledged to help repair English fortunes, and has been lobbying his fellow world leaders at the G20 world summit, Seoul. He will later travel to Zurich to speak directly with Fifa leaders before the December 2nd ballot that will select the hosting nations of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Having made significant investment already in facilities for the 2012 Olympics, the World Cup is seen as a particularly appealing prospect for the United Kingdom.

The Spanish and English would be hosting their second world cups (1982 and 1966 respectively) but the Portuguese half brings a freshness to the bid. With Spain as the current World Champions, their chances are looking especially good. Considering how likely it now seem that the World Cup will travel South for 2018, it’s unsuprising to see so many English people looking up the strange art of Portuguese property finance.

Is Soccer Coming House

betting tips

The English soccer staff have managed to reach the quarter finals of the Fifa World Cup, will this finally be the 12 months that soccer comes back dwelling for the primary time since 1966? Despite not playing their greatest football, England are still within the event and will need to have an amazing probability of lifting the trophy.

Some may say that I am biased as I’m from England myself and am an avid England supporter, however I actually feel that 2006 may very well be the year for our boys out there in Germany. This may occasionally in fact be all blown away on Saturday when the workforce face Portugal and big Phil Scolari. Scolari has been the supervisor of the last groups who have knocked England out of the last two major tournaments and subsequently will pose a big risk to my team. He was the manager of the Brazil workforce that beat England within the 2002 World Cup and he was and nonetheless is the supervisor of the Portugal crew that beat England in the 2004 European Championship. I hope that it will likely be third time fortunate for the English this year.

To say that England are yet to peak is a bit of an understatement as they’ve in reality been properly beneath par. This could nonetheless be fairly an excellent factor, how many instances have Germany scraped by to the ultimate levels of the event without thrilling the crowds?

With Wayne Rooney becoming stronger and fitter this must be the perfect opportunity that England has had for fairly some time. There are numerous leaders and potential captains in the English team. Players like John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard would all make worthy captains when David Beckham decides to give up this role. In addition to potential captains, these players are also what I name winners and when push comes to shove hopefully will deliver the goods.

Argentina, Brazil and Germany may show to be the most important dangers to England. After a sluggish begin Ronaldo seems to have found his scoring boots again and the Brazil crew has some nice gamers all around the park. I have to say that I am getting fairly bored of them successful nevertheless, absolutely its the flip of England this time around.

Germany have played some nice soccer on their dwelling turf and appear to build up a head of steam. They could prove fairly tough to stop and all the time appear to do well within the World Cup.

Many people would argue that Argentina have most likely played the best football so far and that they are worthy favourites. I would have to agree with this and just hope that they have peaked too soon.

It actually could be an incredible summer time in England if our team can deliver soccer dwelling to where it belongs this year. Good luck England.

Spain vs Germany 2010

During last nights semi final game featuring the current european champions Spain vs Germany who have just got better throughout the tournament, I decided to watch this imprtant game with my spanish relative who was not only excited about the game but who clearly thought he was actually there in the South Africa amongst the crowd.

During the half time break I couldn’t help but notice how many tv adverts have got behind marketing the World Cup, and how they have used internet as a key tool for fans throughout the world, offering services such match replays, up to date facts and figures of the tournament so far. I even joined an online forum to discuss my own views and who I thought would win the competition.

The world cup in South Africa has been such a hit and boost for the countries economy, especially due to the large increase in tourism during the football.

Online retaillers have made good use of the internet whilst the World Cup has been on television. Making sure that there site is fully working with SEO to achieve the most custom and sales. Just think how many of those fly sounding trumpets they have sold in South Africa and over the internet. I has certainly made the vuvuzela a well known instrument!

The football stadiums in South Africa were very impressive, especially the one in Durban which was were Spain were to get a suprised 1-0 defeat to Switzerland match. A friend of mine was lucky enough to see that match as he was visiting family down there.

Talking to a friend after the match who works for a company who specialise in Ecommerce website design he was sure that the Netherlands were going to win the final.

Some of the football sites also have some fantastic web design too!

The Italy Team For World Cup 2010

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

Italy’s squad is older than most, and Marcelo Lippi has not been spared criticism for the age of the team.  The team is very likely to be fairly new by the Brazilian World Cup, when athletes such as 32 year-old Gianluigi Buffon, 36 year-old Fabio Cannavaro, 32 year-old Gennaro Gattuso, and other players like Andrea Pirlo (31), Gianluca Zambrotta (33), Vincenzo Iaquinta (30), Mauro Camoranesi (33), and Antonio Di Natale (32) are sure to be gone from the team.  Who will Lippi or his successor choose to replace the team?

Lorenzo De Silvestri    Defender     (Fiorentina)    Aged 22
De Silvestri, who stands at just over six feet tall, comes from Lazio, where he recently served as fullback.    When he moved to Fiorentina in 2009, De Silvestri came into his own in the form that served him in representing Italy from U16 to U21. De Silvestri’s power as a fullback may end up earning him a position on the national team in place of Zambrotta.

Davide Santon        Defender    (Inter)        Aged 19
Able to play down either flank, Santon is a hugely talented young defender who made 28 appearances for Inter this season as well as five appearances already for the Azzuri. Santon’s energy is boundless; his energy on the pitch has earned him a comparison to Paolo Maldini by Italian head coach Marcelo Lippi. We can expect to see the immensely talented Santon in the Italy’s next few squads for major finals events.

Mario Balotelli        (Striker)    (Inter)        Aged 19
Inter’s hot headed and often temperamental striker can play anywhere in attack or as a winger and has been heralded as one of the brightest hopes wearing the Italy soccer apparel for a generation.  Batelli’s run-ins with both fans and management only serve to distract from his excellent record: the player scored twenty goals in 59 games and notched 6 and 16 for the U21 Italian set. We can expect to see Batelli at the 2012 Euro qualifiers because Italy is going to need a brand new look strike force.

Federico Macheda    (Striker)    (Man Utd)    Aged 18
Despite Macheda’s failure to make first team at Old Trafford, soccer pundits agree that Man United’s striker could make a name for himself in the 2010-2011 season, and even gain the attention of Azzuri management. Macheda is a strong, intelligent striker, who has an eye for goal. Particularly good with his back to goal, he has already been capped at U21 level for Italy and if he can start to make a bigger impact in the United first team, full honours should soon follow.

Antonio Candreva    (Midfielder)    Udinese    Aged 23
The most daunting challenge that the Italian team faces is finding Pirlo’s replacement, and they may have found their man in Candreva. The Udinese midfielder follows in the footsteps of Pirlo’s creative play, owning any position on the midfield.
